“The Five Nights at Freddy’s series consists of horror-themed video games in which the player is usually a night-time employee at a location connected with Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a fictional children’s restaurant that takes inspiration from family pizza chains like Chuck E. Cheese’s and ShowBiz Pizza Place. The restaurant has life-size animatronic characters that perform at children’s parties. The animatronics wander the restaurant at night and the guard is instructed to watch over them. To progress through the games, the player must guard theirself against animatronics with a variety of tools. In Five Nights at Freddy’s, the player can control the two security doors connecting their office to the adjacent hallways as a barrier against animatronics in the vicinity. Each night, the player has a power supply that depletes faster when a tool is used. If the power goes out, the player can no longer use any tools, and is defenseless against the animatronics. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 has different tools; there are no protective doors, and the player must instead use an empty animatronic head and flashlight to defend theirself against the animatronics. The game introduced a music box which must be remotely wound up on a regular basis to prevent an attack from a particular animatronic.8-bit minigames were introduced, which play randomly after death.
he player takes control of a young boy named Gregory, who is locked in a large shopping mall filled with murderous animatronics and must complete numerous missions to survive the night in order to escape. The animatronics found throughout the mall include Glamrock Freddy, Glamrock Chica, Montgomery Gator, Roxanne Wolf, Sunnydrop and his nighttime counterpart Moondrop (also known as the Daycare Attendant), and DJ Music Man. The player will also encounter other types of enemies, which consists of Vanny, a woman dressed in a rabbit costume, employee robots called Staff Bots that can alert enemies to Gregory’s location if they spot him, and a security guard named Vanessa. All enemies will get stronger as the night progresses, so the player must adapt to their surroundings in order to survive. Gregory can hide to avoid enemies or throw objects to distract them. Running drains stamina and if it’s low, Gregory will not be able to move very fast.

illumix abandoned their biggest game ever just because of a stupid ring?!
The funniest thing is that I actually downloaded this for the first time only a week or two ago and it kept crashing so I deleted it lol
I pretty much paid like 30 dollars just for this game to die a few years later
Definitely went downhill. I found it disappointing that you couldn't get certain special characters unless you had friends/microtransactions. There was a lot of good in this game that just didn't work out. I WISH there was a game where you could somehow map out your living area, outside, inside a gym, etc. and the game could put animatronics in different places throughout the night, which is kind of what my child mind thought was going to happen when this first came out. Oh well, another FNAF event to add to the drama.
As a fan why just why why would they do this it was one of my favorites because it didn’t cost the money at least I think and I watch YouTube and I thought Captain foxy was in there but no but it’s nice to see but just abandoning it lawsuit we already have drama happening Scott coffin pick up on this make a new Fnaf AR

Illumix sure was hella disappointing ngl. Mega slow development, poor monetization of the game which led to cheap overpriced merch and ingame stuff etc…
I heard that Illumix supposedly jinxed Scott over with the contract, so uhh.. Hopefully Scott will find better devs for this

This is like if Steel Wool just up and left after patching security breach into what it is now.
I feel bad for any fnaf fans still around at this point, all of us who played and enjoyed the games are getting the worst treatment of most fanbases and it's happening all really fast. I guess it's time to dip out of the Fnaf games. nobody should be treated like this in any fandom, don't completely ignore your fans or treat them like trash, how is that hard?
If they want to leave the project to focus on future stuff and a new era, that's completely fine. But they could've said SOMETHING. They could've said "We are officially taking a long break from FNAF AR development, see you soon." Or "We are officially stopping the development of FNAF AR. We want to move on to new projects and freshen up as a company." THEY COULD'VE SAID ANYTHING. And theoretically, since they didn't tell the community, they probably didn't tell Scott. That is somewhat illegal, because Illumix earned the licensed rights to the game and its characters. FNAF AR is a game from SCOTT'S franchise, with all of SCOTT'S characters, and it would be different if it was a game from Illumix's franchise with Illumix's characters. I can imagine Scott being pretty angry about this, and honestly, aren't we all?

I could tell the game was going to die especially watching the trailer
It was promising but i can tell it was going to be as it showed in the trailer but I was hyped
But then it showed the basic maintenance of the game.
You move the camera around and try to shock/stop the animatronic from attacking you and you do it to early/late you'll get jumpscares
But that's it and besides the occasional new animatronics added there wasn't a story or anything special about the game

I’m gonna be brutally honest, when I saw this video appear in my recommended, I was very happy. FNaF AR was just a crappy cash-grab that tried to milk money out of its child audience using the regular insidious microtransactions that mobile games are known for. Hopefully this shows that people don’t want garbage like this and would instead prefer the devs work on real games, or at least the troll games that Scott used to make (i.e. the “fake UCN” game)
It’s so weird that they pulled the plug on this game when some arcade animatronics have plushies in stores
