Even if it is the Emily Family Household, I'd still think Afton would have to have been the one to put those sound disc things in the kid's room. The Nightmares tell Afton in Ultimate Custom Night how they're not illusions anymore, but if it was Henry and not Aften who made them, that taunt doesn't make much sense. Maybe Afton got them in his room at some point after luring him out to make him too scared to come back? After all, if a witness came back that could end Afton's child murder spree, and we don't really know how much time passed between the kid sneaking out and Henry coming home. With the window broken it wouldn't have been too big a task to sneak a sound disc in there.
I know im 2 years later but hear me out, this gives credit to so many theories like cc the crying child is the vengeful spirit, I mean cc has always been mysterious, the facts are in front of you CC has mysterious link with golden freddy like the vengeful spirit, he has had supernatural exposure before everyone else, heck according to this theory cc might be an emily and the one who saw charlies death, when a person your close to dies you have a greater drive than when your own life ends. FNAF 4 was always a mystery in UCN the nightmares said they are "illusions" but in reality this is just the nightmares in the view of the vengeful spirit since he/she is the one who controls it. For all we know cc could have mysterious powers that have a link with remnant which made his worst nightmares half real and gave him the ability to make a suit with no infrastructure move, to create a heckscape for your younger sisters murder. In fact if michael, cc and charlie are all emilies they could have had increased exposure to remnant since charlie was the one who made the originals come to life, cc made "illusions" that will kill you if you get caught by them and michael is well a walking talking corpse. Remnant has been always a wild card who knows what it can do if it made a time traveling ball pit. 2 years later and this theory still blows my mind with how much it explains (obv we dont know how accurate it is but its REAL convincing)

Not that this matters much, but in my head, Mustard Man was Purple guy. The reason he is a different color is because he had to be purple in order not to blend into the black background of the mini-games. While being in the daylight, it becomes apparent that he is actually Yellow, not Purple. Eh, who knows?

Hey pat sure this is a possibility but I a have a feeling about the books having a Freddy on the that only forecast half of the characters but I could be wrong
I had a theory years ago that the purple and orange were different personalitys but after awhile it got even more confussing
now combine this with the adoption theory
It’s more a yellowish color that is also the compliment color for purple
If we think about it from a book standpoint, it has to be the emily household. We figured out that the sister location is under the afton house in the book due to the lamp, which conformed that the crying child's room was in the house above the sister location, and with the TV man the orange guys house is the same one, but now that we've conformed with the books the sister location is under henrys house, everything we thought was the aftons has to be the emilys.
No matter what the theory is, we all know the one fact that is confirmed and canon.

i think one really important yet overlooked, abdurdly simply detail, is that the yellow “mustard man” is not william afton simply because he is yellow, and that he is actually henry. yellow on the color wheel is the opposite of purple, the antithesis of it, much like how henry is the antithesis of william; henry wants to create or bring back life, while william wants to destroy it, and their actions (henry using the animatronics to bring his dead kids back to life while william uses the same animatronics to keep killing kids) show how different, and how opposite they are from each other. it’s a cool little hint on scott’s part, i have to say, but one that may not be too obvious at first even tho it’s staring us right in the face.

I've been thinking recently, that in the book, Henry's house was above the underground facilities a.k.a sister location, but there's still a lot mystery about the identity (Are they Afton or Emily?) of crying child, Mike, the girls room (maybe belongs to Charlie/Elizabeth?)because everyone just assumed that there's only one family live in that house!…So, what if we don't lock so tight that ONLY Henry's family lives in Henry's household or Afton family live in Afton household. William and Henry were partners. They were close for a time. It would make sense that maybe MAYBE Henry took William's kids in after William was on run or after he knows what crime William had done. So BOTH Children of Afton and Henry was living together at some point.
